Contract — Microsite Game

Project Length: 5-7 weeks (Approx. 80–100 hours total)

Start Date: ~May 26th

Compensation: $65-$100/hr, based on experience and region

Location: Remote

🧩 Project Overview

We’re building a web-based mobile game for a live event and need a stellar Full Stack Developer to help bring it to life. ****This game will be accessed by attendees on their phones with sign-up/log-in via SMS or email. Players complete real-world quests by scanning QR codes and collecting digital artwork and XP. Players with the highest score + level will win physical prizes. UI designs are complete (inspired by a previous game build), just need someone to put it together and make it functional!

You’ll work directly with the Experience Director and Designer to bring the experience to life from start to finish.

🔧 Core Responsibilities

• Architect and build a mobile-friendly microsite (React / Next.js)
• Implement Email or SMS-based authentication using Twilio or similar
• Implement an onboarding flow
• Build a homepage showing available quests
• Build quest detail pages with instructions and QR scan triggers
• Create a rewards page to show completed quests visually
• Develop and secure a simple backend using Firebase, Supabase or similar
• Generate and validate QR codes tied to each quest
